DIY :: Pinterest Inspired Artwork

I finally got around to making something I pinned on Pinterest, woohoo!  Here was the inspiration from Pinterest, and the original Kate Spade inspiration below.

You'll need scrapbooking paper, a circle punch, a canvas, and glue.
1. I used 2 differently textured gold scrapbooking paper and my 2" circle punch to create 25-30 circles.
2. Then I arranged them in a haphazard fashion till I found the pattern that 'spoke to me'/ looked the best.
3. Finally I secured everything with my glue gun, viola!

Baby Ethan

My friends S &E welcomed a very beautiful baby boy into the world last week.  I can't wait to meet little baby Ethan!  And of course I immediately made some fun art work for the little one's new digs.

DIY :: Wall Art

This weekend I finally got around to making some wall art.  Here's the inspiration featured on Made By Girl.
Supplies:
-A frame - I spray painted my $5 Micheal's find a high gloss white
-Silver paper- these metal sheets work or you can use scrapbooking paper- (Silver looks better on our grey walls, but feel free to use whatever color you'd like)
-A glue gun
-Scissors or a circle punch
-Poster board
I decided to use my 2" circle punch to create the circles, you could cut out circles, but I was being lazy.
Start layering the circles on top of each other on a piece of poster board, using the glue gun to secure each piece.
Poster board with all the circles attached.  If you'd like to have a more dimensional look to the piece, you could bend the circles slightly at the point of attachment, so that they stand out slightly from the frame.
In the frame.
I enlisted the help of the mister to hang it on the wall...
Ta da!  The finished product.  I love how, depending on which angle your standing at, the circles all reflect light differently.
