Monday, Monday

Hi lovelies, I hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend!  We just got back from a weekend in South Haven, MI.   From playing football in Lake Michigan, to copious amounts of ice cream, to beer tasting at Bell's Brewery, to grilling pizza, and making smores, this weekend was pure summer bliss.  Can't wait to do it again next summer.  Happy Tuesday!

Weekend Recap

Sorry for the lack of posting yesterday, I was a bit under the weather.  None the less this weekend was incredibly productive and exhausting.  We had a rehearsal dinner at the lovely Mary Bartelme Park, attended a baby shower, and worked a wedding.  I'm so looking forward to tomorrows 4th of July festivities and a day off.  Hope you lovelies had a great weekend!

Weekend Edition

This weekend we made some of these delicious Banana Crumble Muffins

Recipe:
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 bananas, mashed
3/4 cup white sugar1 egg, lightly beaten
1/3 cup butter, melted
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon butter

DIRECTIONS:
1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Lightly grease 10 muffin cups, or line with muffin papers.
2.In a large bowl, mix together 1 1/2 cups flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. In a mixer, beat together bananas, sugar, egg and melted butter. Stir your dry ingredients into the banana mixture just until moistened. Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups.
3.In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, 2 tablespoons flour and cinnamon. Cut in 1 tablespoon butter until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Sprinkle topping over muffins.
4.Bake in preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of a muffin comes out clean.

And finished up a few projects:
This fantastic frame that I scored for $5.  My fabulous lions that I got from HomeGoods in a not so flattering yellow color.  I coated them in a high gloss white spray paint, and viola they're fabulous.   And some artwork with imperfections that I'm starting to love.

Bought this...NARS cream eyeshadow in Corfu.  The perfect amount of color and sparkle for everyday use or layer it for a more dramatic night look.
Ate the best fried pickles ever, at the Burger Bar.  They were perfectly breaded and had the perfect amount of tartness, I'm now a pickle convert.
