Moustach Bash 1st Birthday

Love this moustache bash first birthday party.  From the chevron to the blue & green color palette, to the fabulous cake,  to the wet your whiskers beverage station, and to the little bow ties and moustaches adorning everything, I'm loving all the great details.  The chalkboard sign is fabulous, love how it displays all his favorites, and is so trendy.  And how dapper and adorable is the birthday boy!

Soiree :: Nautical Navy & Yellow Baby Shower

Today I'm sharing the insanely gorgeous nautical themed shower that our friends and family threw us.  From the lovely party decor to the delicious dessert table, there were so many beautiful details.  I adored all the rustic nautical elements, with touches of blue glass, and  sea-worthy phrases.  Guests were encouraged to leave little notes to B (aka baby) on sand dollar shells, which I can't wait to frame in a shadow box for the nursery. 

 

The stunning cake was a combination of strawberry shortcake and red velvet, which happens to be mine and the Mister's favorites.

The desert table was completed with delicious cake pops, amazing shortbread anchor cookies, brownies, and lollipops.  The girls even put together a "cravings station" with all my favorites: SourPatch Kids, Jolly Ranchers, Twizzlers & Yan Yans!

The favors were Nutella stuffed, sea-salt, and brown butter chocolate chip cookies that I baked the night before.  We found those gorgeous navy stripped paper bags on Etsy, and tied everything together with red and white bakers twine and added a thank you label.

The signature drink featured cotton candy and champagne or sprite, with an added Swedish Fish for fun.

Games: They went around with a ball of yarn, that guests could guesstimate the size of my belly by cutting the yarn at their desired length.  We also played the "my water broke" game, that had mini babies frozen in ice cubes, whose ever baby floated up to the top first won.  And the last game guest played, involved guessing which baby (myself or the Mister) was responsible for various behaviors/mannerisms.

 

WALL-E Birthday Party

How adorable is this Pixar inspired WALL-E birthday party?  I loved the story of WALL-E, the robot who fell in love with another robot EVE, and went on an adventure that changed the world.  This adorable birthday party captures all of the WALL-E's charm.  Love the geometric backdrop, the WALL-E inspired desserts, and the plant sample, party favors are perfect!

Baby Maddness: A Gender Reveal party

As everyone is anxiously looking at their bracket this week, I thought I'd share a different and adorable take on the March Madness bracket, a Gender Revel bracket.  On the menu: champagne cake pops, cupcakes, donuts, trail mix, brownies, and of course the cake.  Love the fun competitive spirit they encouraged and all the lovely details, scroll down to see what they're expecting.

From the Host:
Our guests were encouraged to pick a team, either “pink” or “blue” and show their support by dressing in their team’s color.  We even had matching buttons that the guests could wear to show their support.  We also had a hanging chalkboard up so each guest could cast their vote.  I also created little tag that our guest could write baby name suggestions on and leave in the mail boxes. 

Little Man-hattan 1st Birthday

I am obsessed with this 1960's Manhattan themed 1st birthday.  How completely original and out of the box, and the set up is beyond divine.  I could only imagine the thrill of all those toddlers running around their own central park with mini chess sets, shopping for candy at the grocery store, making milk shakes at the shake shack, reading the newspaper, or giving themselves fake tattoos.  Love all the details that went into this festive birthday, from the shades of blue to the bow ties, to the recreation of a mini Manhattan!

Superbowl Soiree

In anticipation for this weekends Superbowl festivities, we're breaking out the sliders and 7 layer dip, and calling shot gun on our favorite seat in the house.  Hope you're taking advantage of the big game, to throw a big party.  After all, the Superbowl is an excuse to be with friends and eat some seriously heavy treats.  And for you Bears fans here's a little inspiration to get you through to next season.  Some Superbowl inspiration for your Sunday.

Beatles Mania

How adorable is this Beatles themed 3rd birthday featured on Cake.  I'm loving all of the hanging lyrics, Abby Road signs, mini guitars, and British inspired food (fish & chips).  Check out the birthday girl jamming to her favorite band, I can only hope my future offspring will enjoy the classics like this adorable 3ry old.

"Our daughter Emilia is in love with all things the Beatles (especially her beloved John), so when it came to planning her third birthday party...having a Beatles party was really the only choice. For decor, we had Beatles posters (including an oversized one that is now in her room), Union Jack umbrellas, a mini Abbey Road zebra crossing, album covers, and (my favorite) hanging lyrics. For food, we had loads of fish and chips and Eton Mess cupcakes. We had "I heart" John, Paul, George or Ringo buttons for the guests, and the kids were given back stage passes and cardboard guitars to decorate. Guests also went home with a CD of Emilia's favorite Beatles songs"
