365Project Update: December Edition

A look back at December..
Christmas Crackers that I made for Christmas morning.  They were filled with popcorn, nuts, and cranberries.
Dinner and drinks as Sable.  We also had the lamb flatbread which was delicious!  Pictured above: pretzels and duck fat-fried steak fries.
Matching Christmas pjs with a Disney theme.  I matched up a princess to her prince and made shirts for the both of us.  He got all the princes and I got all the princesses, with our names inserted. (Yes the mister is a trooper and puts up with the crap I make him wear, I found a winner!)
Perusing through one of my birthday presents!
DIY lace nails for NYE.  They looked fabulous, but I had to put on multiple coats of top coat to get it to stay, my fingers reeked of nail polish.
Happy NYE!  Ringing in 2012 with the one I love and our friends.

Bridesmaid announcements for my bestie, it was an adorable treasure hunt that started at Pops for Champagne, tea at the Peninsula, and ended at the Beauty Bar with manis and martinis.
A look at the Mister's x-rays a week post opp.  You can see the screws holding his new ACL in place.
Turkey day with the extended family.

365 Project Update

This weekend we celebrated 2 engagements, and managed to go to Long Grove's Apple Fest.  Where we stood in line for a half hour waiting for apple doughnuts, that lasted all of 2 days in our house.  I need to remember to purchase more than a dozen next year.
The girls at Piya's Engagement Party.
Engagement Party number 2, with the happy couple.
Long Grove Apple Fest

Currently rocking out to this song.  It's so addictive I can't help it.  Or maybe it's Nicole's killer body?  I wonder how many hours of running and Pilates it will take me to get a tummy l like that...

365Project Update & This Week I Believe in

Recap: We snapped this picture of the Bean after a concert in Millennium Park,  meet hAnk (yes it's spelt/capitalized that way) the other 'man' in my bed, and we spent Labor Day weekend in NYC, highlights coming soon.
 This Week I believe in..
... writing. It's cathartic, although I'm not exactly sure where this writing thing is going, if anywhere.
... breezes. Loving this fall-ish weather.
... reading. The Templar Salvation and it's addicting.
... researching. We still need to find a hotel for the Big Island, HI.  Any suggestions?

This Week I Believe In... & 365Project update

365Project updates: This past week was full of the Mister's birthday celebrations, view the rest of the party here.  Trying on new Warby Parker glasses, these boys are writing the book on excellent customer service; packing and 4 blissful and relaxing days in Door County, WI.  Glad to be crossing things off our Summer To-Do list.

This week I believe in...
...reading.  I finally got my hands on a copy of The Help, loving it so far.
...wind.  We went sailing in Door County and it was blissful!  It just reinforced the fact that I simply must have a sailboat someday
...excel files.  Organizing for a wedding the{little}details will be working.
...Tracy Anderson.  Starting her Metamorphosis this week.
...Murphy.  His meows and sweet attention when we get back from any trip makes my heart melt.

Gifting :: Residency Survival Kit

One of our friends started his residency this past week.  To celebrate I put together this quick residency survival kit.  Contents: Advil, Batteries, Band aids, Wine, Snickers, Lifesavers, and Lucky Charms; with the following explanation:
Life Savers- Because you are one
Band-Aids- So you remember to be bendable/flexible
Snickers- Cuz laughter really is the best medicine
Batteries- so you can keep going like the Energizer bunny, and you’ll need it for your pager
Wine- No explanation necessary
Lucky Charms - let's just say I ate a box of his Luck Charms in college and I owed him.

Monday, Monday

The 365 project is still ongoing, here's a look at what happened last week.  We planted Lilies, Thai Basil and Mint, love a balcony garden!  Which was perfect timing for the mint-chimichuri sauce I made for this weekends lamb chops, courtesy of the farmer's market.  The mister and I celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary at Zealous on Monday.  And the mister will be out of commission for the next month with a torn ACL :(  Happy Monday!
