Fall Harvest

Happy Monday!  Fall is officially here, but in the off chance you're enjoying an extended Indian Summer, I put together a fall harvest inspiration board, perfect for warmer fall weather.  Love the warmth of early fall colors, and the natural textures from burlap to jute to hay and linen.  Here's to Fall!

Emerald Green

Our homage to emerald, as Patone's color of 2013.  I think emerald green is a brilliant and show-stopping choice.  It's impeccably regal and sophisticated, and can be paired with white or gold to create a stunning effect.  From luxurious statement pieces, to an all out emerald color palette, incorporating emerald will make any soiree stand out.

Wedding Inspiration: Thin Mints

This weekend,I made this version of my favorite girl scout cookie: the thin mint.  Which served as the inspiration behind today's wedding inspiration board.  With bright mint grounded by warm chocolate hues, it's perfect for any springtime wedding.  Happy Monday!

Traditional Christmas Inspiration

Inspired by one of my favorite holiday movies, Little Women, I love the warmth and ambiance of a traditional holiday decor.  A traditional Christmas: where stockings were hung by the hearth, oranges were stuffed with cloves, carols were sung by the fire, and Christmas decor mostly involved bringing the outdoors in.  Some traditional Christmas inspiration for your holidays, enjoy!

Chanel Bridal Shower Inspiration

Burberry Inspired Baby Shower

Love this pink Burberry inspired baby shower.  Perfect for a soon to be fashionista baby girl.   Details that we adore:   the trench coat cookies and dresses, Burberry plaid cookies, the baby carriage diaper cake, and the tissue pom dessert table backdrop.  And I love that a classic Burberry scarf was the color inspiration behind this beautiful event.

Run for the Roses: Kentucky Derby Inspiration

This Saturday is both Cinco de Mayo and the Kentucky Derby. I've always wanted to attend the Kentucky Derby, sipping a mint julep, and sporting a large floppy hat.  If you aren't able to make it to Louisville this weekend, then bring the Kentucky Derby to you.  Whether you prefer sipping on a margarita (on the rocks with salt, please) or a mint julep, here's some Kentucky Derby inspiration for your weekend, enjoy!

Hunger Games Wedding Inspiration

Jackie O Inspired Wedding

One of the great style icons of all time, her wedding has inspired brides for generations. Taking a cue from Jackie's lovely gown the inspired wedding would be the epitome of classic elegance, featuring a color palette of black and white with hints of champagne pink. The bride would wear a classic gown with crystal shoes or clutch and soft feminine gloves. The ceremony would be in an old barn or tent with suspended chandeliers and feminine chair covers. And the reception would feature long tables, that stretch forever, and guests would dine in the soft romantic glow of candlelight and billowing fabric. Imagine black bows on chair backs and grounding the soft ambiance of pale pinks with black charger plates. And of course the couple would make their getaway in a classic white car. a City Hall Wedding

I was inspired by Glee's almost Finkle wedding to create a classic city hall wedding board.  Having planned a 500+ wedding there were plenty of days when I wish we had done this.  Simple ceremonies like these have so much to offer and I can't wait to for the return of Glee in April.  Imagine pearls, shorter dresses, black and white photos, classic cars, and an intimate ceremony, enjoy!

Birds of a Feather...

...flock together, especially those of a peacock feather. Deep purples, teal blues, and jeweled greens are one my favorite color combinations, and they're also the colors found in a peacock feather.  I love that you could choose to feature all the colors or pick one and design you wedding around that.  There are endless ideas and possibilities with a peacock themed wedding, and so many lovely ways to show them off. Some peacock inspiration for your soiree, enjoy!   And don't forget to enter our blog-aversary giveaway, to win some lovely earrings!

This Sunday is the 84th Annual Academy Awards!  And it's the perfect excuse to gather friends, make some popcorn and polish off those girl scout cookies.  As much as I love Hollywood today, nothing comes close to the classic elegance and glamor of old Hollywood.  Seeing as the Oscar's are considered Hollywood's golden night, here's some golden, old Hollywood inspiration for your Oscar's soiree, enjoy!

A little{details}event: Bling & Bubbly Bridal Shower

We are throwing our bestie a bling and champagne bridal shower this weekend.  The color inspiration for the shower is pale pinks and soft nudes offset with crystals and bling.  Pink and gold create a luxurious ambiance and light catching crystal adds a touch of glamour.  We even had a fabulous chair cover made for the bride-to-be, can't wait to share pictures with all of you.
