Great Gatsby

I loved this book, and I'm so excited to see what Baz Luhrmann interpretation of this classic story will look like.  The Mister and I watched Zero Dark Thirty this weekend, and we happen to catch a preview of the Great Gatsby, and all I could think was wow.  I love the glitz and glamour of the 1920's!  And if you haven't caught the preview yet, check it out below.

Baby Week: Movie Marathon

Yes, pregnancy brain is a real thing.  Especially when your standing at the grocery store and you can't remember what you're there for, or when you're staring at your computer and you don't have the slightest clue what you were going to do.  I recommend a movie marathon to help lift the fog of pregnancy brain.  Whether it's a date night, a vegging out night, or a girls night,  these picks will leave you in stitches.  What is it about pregnancy and babies that's so funny?  Well at least it's funny till you realize that's happening to you.  Here are my favorite preggo movies to get you started.

Here's our expanded list:  Knocked Up | Father of the Bride Part 2 | Baby Mama | Juno | What to Expect When You're Expecting | The Back-Up Plan | Waitress | Look Who's Talking3 Men & a Baby | Life As We As We Know It | Where The Heart Is | The Object of My Affection | Nine Months | For Keeps? |  Pregnant In Heels (not technically a movie..)

Confession time: I'm a musical junkie...

So something I've never told you about myself, but I'm obsessed with Broadway musicals (as is Queen Elizabeth, which is why I'm pretty sure we'd be friends).  My iPod and Spotify accounts have musical playlists which I belt out in the car, and every time I watch a Broadway production I'm reduced to tears.  Secretly it's been a dream of mine to stand on stage as part of a Broadway production.  I missed my chance with Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, remember all those kids who run in at the beginning and start singing, I could have been one of them.  One of my all time favorite musicals is Les Mis, I've seen it 3 times.  And I've sung both On My Own and Castle on a Cloud for vocal competitions in high school.  Which is why I'm stoked for the move version of Les Miserables this December!!  The cast is phenomenal and I can't wait to see what director Tom Hooper has in store.  Just watching the trailer below gives me chills.  Anyone else super excited to see Les Miserables in theaters?
