Goodies aka the little things that add to an already fabulous event. We incorporated some traditional bachelorette concepts into our Hollywood Glam bachelorette party in Mexico last weekend. Hop over to rivernorthLove to see the Hollywood Glam theme in full effect.
This was by far my favorite of our 'goodies', and it was a blast watching her check items off her bucket list. We managed to have her complete 9 of the 15 tasks, and the guys we found to help her complete the tasks were incredibly accommodating and so funny. Our bachelorette with her bucket list.
The all important Hangover kits, which came in quite handy this trip. We stuffed the bags full of band aids, mints/gum, face wash wipes, bobby pins, hair ties, granola bars, 100 calorie cookie packets, crystal light packets, and Advil packets.
After seeing this on Pinterest, we knew we had to recreate it. This time we took before and after shots. The after were mostly staged but they made for a hilarious before and after comparison. The before shots are pictured below.

A Mexican Affair: the Bachelorette Recap
We spent 4 days in sunny Cancun, at the RIU Cancun (I would never recommend this resort ever), partying it up for our bestie's bachelorette. The gorgeous bride to be:

We tried to recreate the Kardashian (the bride's favorite) holiday card, where everyone but Kris wore a tuxedo inspired outfit (hence the bow ties).
Spent many blissful hours on the beach and frequenting the swim up bar.
Had the bride-to-be check items off her "bucket list".
Partied up on our last night as Chicas Bonitas.

A Look At Oscar's Past
This weekend is Hollywood's biggest night, the Academy Awards. And of course my favorite part about any award show is the red carpet. When stars waltz down the red carpet in glamorous gowns and shine in a mix of gold and diamonds. In anticipation of Sunday's Oscar night, here's a look back at Hollywood's golden age.

Glam train ride
Love this glam shoot featured in Vogue! Makes me want to take a cross country train ride, and visit all the beautiful, classic train stations, waiting for some mystery man. This train ride is more glamorous that my morning commute on the Pink and Brown Lines on the L, or the EuroStar train we took from London to Paris. And these captions that Vogue came up with are perfection!
"The couple trade glances. Her look has all the hallmarks of MGM-siren glamour"
Narrow corridors and incendiary screen chemistry ..She's dressed for a private party in soft-pink washed satin.
Looking absolutely like a World War II heroine—Greet Garson, Natalia clings to her star-crossed lover.
..Icon of tearful cinematic goodbyes since Bogie said, "Here's looking at you, kid," to Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca. (admittedly this train reminds me a lil of the Hogwart's Express)
