Oscar & PJ Party

While the Oscars maybe over, I love the concept of this PJs & popcorn party for any awards show or girls night.  Guests rocked their comfy pjs and Oscar worthy hair and jewelry, while snacking on a gourmet popcorn bar, and cheering for their favorites.  The black and white color palette, is sophisticated without being too overbearing, and festively fun.   Guests even took home their own swag bags.  This is watching the Oscars in comfort and style!

Champagne & PJ 30th Birthday Bash

I spent my 30th with the Mister and the next day with my girlfriends.  Being preggers I wanted to do something fun and different this year, thus I decided on a champagne (or in my case sparkling grape juice) and pj slumber party.  We ordered in delicious Thai food, watched Pitch Perfect, drank champagne, pigged out on chocolate cake & junk food, and had plenty of girl time.  In other words it was perfection.

Favorite Things Party

Thanks to Oprah, we've seen the favorite things party gain in popularity.  The premise, each invitee brings enough of their favorite thing (one for each person), and goes home with a goodie bag full of other invitees favorites.  Every one's favorite things are beautifully laid out and the ladies proceed to shop for everyone favorite items, thus the fun shopping bags.  Alternatively, guests could explain why the item is their favorite or how they use it, and hand one out to each guest.  I love this festive & "girl's night out" take on a favorite things party.

30th Birthday Inspiration

I'm turning the big 3-0 tomorrow, can't believe this year has flown by and I'm officially no longer in my twenties.  To celebrate, I'm throwing a Champagne & PJs, 30th birthday bash this year.  As I'm preggos and can't drink I thought having a slumber party with my girlfriends was the perfect alternative.  Yes there will be champagne (or sparkling grape juice), cake, plenty of junk food, and lots of girl talk.  So excited to be celebrating the start of another great year.

Masquerade Ball 40th Birthday

Love this fun and flirty masquerade ball themed 40th birthday bash.  From the stunning dessert table, to the black, white and pink color palette, to the masquerade masks, there are so many gorgeous details.  I am obsessed with those lovely bird topped apothecary glass jars, and the beautiful birdcage cookies.  And the dessert table featured: vanilla cupcakes, vanilla cookies, cake pops, strawberry mousse, macarons, profiteroles, and a yummy assortment of candy.

Th Bachelorette Party: Goodies

Goodies aka the little things that add to an already fabulous event. We incorporated some traditional bachelorette concepts into our Hollywood Glam bachelorette party in Mexico last weekend.  Hop over to rivernorthLove to see the Hollywood Glam theme in full effect.

This was by far my favorite of our 'goodies', and it was a blast watching her check items off her bucket list.  We managed to have her complete 9 of the 15 tasks, and the guys we found to help her complete the tasks were incredibly accommodating and so funny. Our bachelorette with her bucket list. 

The all important Hangover kits, which came in quite handy this trip.  We stuffed the bags full of band aids, mints/gum, face wash wipes, bobby pins, hair ties, granola bars, 100 calorie cookie packets, crystal light packets, and Advil packets.

After seeing this on Pinterest, we knew we had to recreate it.  This time we took before and after shots.  The after were mostly staged but they made for a hilarious before and after comparison.  The before shots are pictured below. 

Hollywood Glam: the Bachelorette Party

We celebrated one of our bestie's bachelorette in Cancun last weekend. The Hollywood Glam theme included a decked out suite with a dessert table and a red carpet.  All in traditional bachelorette colors pink and black with plenty of crystals and bling.  The dessert table featured custom lolly pops and Hershey kisses, a blinged out letter P (the bride's first initial), and a corset card.  The backdrop was a silver streamer curtain flagged by pink and black streamers with pictures of the bride-to-be and each girl on the trip.  We added a pink boa, and gifts for both the bride-to-be and each girl to finish of the table.  And yes everything fit into our carry-ons.

We awarded her with the "Oscar" for Best Bride, and had mini awards that she could award us with throughout the night.

We had champagne flutes and ring shots on hand to get the party started.  And just in case, we also had custom water bottles and hangover kits handy.
